The book is a comprehensive yet patient friendly review of epilepsy and seizures and a practical guide for patients and families. The book consists of 12 chapters devoted to epilepsy and seizures including causes, diagnosis, treatment, surgery, etc. The book also has a up-to-date glossary, resources, first aid, driving laws, etc.

This book, by a group pf world renowned epilepsy specialist, experts in all phases of epilepsy investigation and treatment, provides an excellent, up to date, objective, complete and straightforward discussion of all aspects of this disorder. It is essential reading for patients and their families and provides for the reader a solid base for further personalized clarification by the epilepsy caregiver.

This book truly is the ultimate guide for patients and families with its through review of the many issues people need to know about living with epilepsy. Topics not usually covered in previous material include cognitive and psychiatric aspects of epilepsy that are usually ignored by doctors, a practical home safety checklist and first aid instructions. A perfect book for anyone interested in epilepsy.
